A fishing boat floats aimlessly of the coast of Alaska. On it, the bloody shredded bodies of its crew and nothing else. Agents Pierce and Marshall are sent to investigate with only one clue: the claw marks the killer left behind.
Oh sweet baby Jesus, this was awesome. I honestly don’t listen to audio books because I do enjoy reading. My only experience of listening to audio versions of comic books have been with the old school Power Records LPs, which were awesome but now very dated. (Check out an episode and our review HERE). What can I say besides, “Marvel, you’ve done it again.”
Wolverine: The Long Night is a fantastic production. Everything from the storytelling, acting, music, sound effects was just perfect. It’s edgy, dark, everything I would want in a Wolverine scripted podcast. Not only does writer Benjamin Percy and director Brendan Baker know how to tell a story with a scripted podcast, they know how to tell a great Wolverine story. This podcast definitely submerses you into cold, dark Alaska, and the mysteries of the man they call Logan.
With only a few lines in the 1st episode, Richard Armitage’s portrayal of Wolverine will definitely be something to be remembered. Starring Celia Keenan-Bolger and Ato Essandoh as agents Pierce and Marshall, Wolverine The Long Night Chapter 1: A Thousand Ways to Die in Alaska is available for download on Apple iTunes, Stitcher or Google Play.
